Kenny was a tenacious midfielder for Bradford Park Avenue – Official, Wolverhampton Wanderers FCCoventry City FC and Bristol Rovers, with a loan spell at Seattle Sounders FC.
Kenny also managed at Walsall FC Official, Cardiff City Football Club and Hednesford Town.
Kenny played in the League Cup Final in 1974 and 1980 scoring in the 1974 final at Wembley Stadium.
Kenny also played in the 1972 UEFA Cup Final for Wolverhampton Wanderers losing narrowly to countrymen Tottenham Hotspurs.
