A fantastic evening on Saturday 4th May at the Amber Dew Events Stadium the home of Lowestoft Town Football Club.
The end of season Player Presentation Evening Hosted by Lord Russell Baker.
Lowestoft Town has a season of highs, lows, and highs again as their season roller coasted in the inaugural Evosik Southern Central Premier League. A great start to the season seeing The Blues in 8th position, but then to suffer with many key injuries throughout within a new and very young side. The season culminating in 8 league wins in the last 9 yielding an incredible 24 points to finish the season in 14th place.
The team was put together in a very short space of time by new 1st Team Manager Jamie Godbold (Godbers) and his trusted assistant/coach Andy Reynolds (Reyns) using a mixture of previous season seasoned Blues players in Adam Smith, Andrew Fisk and Rossi Jarvis, with a blend of younger less experienced players from Non-League Step 4 and 5. So a high risk strategy and with the proven managerial and coaching skills of Jamie Godbold and Andy Reynolds managing to blend a side together that eventually gelled and equipped themselves at Non-League step 3 with a style of football that will serve the club well as Lowestoft Town prepare for season 2019-20 in the Evostik Southern Central Premier League.
So a great Players Presentation Evening unfolded with the Directors, Players and Supporters and Club Sponsors and Partners filled with drive, hope and enthusiasm for the coming new season.
